In order to ensure the interests of the consumers and guarantee the quality of products on the Ukrainian market, the state regulations claim the necessity to confirm that the product quality meets the national quality standards.
Ukrainian laws and regulations determine the certification, in particular, Ukrainian law “About the confirmation of correspondence” and the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine “About the Standardization and Certification” regulate the sphere of certification. Certification is determined there as the procedure that helps the determined body to conduct the documental certification of the correspondence of the product, quality systems, quality management systems, environmental management systems, human resource to the state norms and standards.
The list of products, goods and services that must undergo the mandatory certification is determined in the law.
The products, goods or services that don’t have to be necessarily certified are the object of non-mandatory certification.
The products, goods and services that are not the subject of mandatory certification undergo the process of certification at the request of the manufacturer, who wants to prove the quality of his product. One of the best ways that the consumers can be sure in the quality of the product is to mark the product with the special sign. Having this sign means that the product meets the quality requirements and is preferable within the certain group of products. Confirmation of accordance in this case is conducted by the body, specially accredited for this practice. The decision on the quality of goods is based on the laboratory tests results.
The body of non-mandatory certification of “Ecomedservice” is accredited to allow the producers to mark their product with “Environmentally clean” sign of Ecomedservice. The enterprise can provide the objective expertise and develop the conclusion as the qualified third party.
The body of non-mandatory certification was created on the basis of scientific industrial enterprise “Ecomedservice” in 2001 (registration number within the system of state standardization of Ukraine is Ods-42 from 04 January 2002). This body
- certifies products in the defined fields
- develops organizational documents and procedures for the products certification
- organizes and holds the inspection of the enterprises and accomplishes the technical supervision of the certified products
- issues the certificates of correspondence
- registers the certified products
- signs contracts to mark the product with the sign saying “Environmentally clean”.
