- Elaboration of the environmental passport of Podil district of Rostov city;
- Creation of the Inventory of the stationary atmospheric air pollution sources – system of input, storage and processing of information for the department of atmospheric air preservation within the State Department of Environmental Safety in Rostov;
- The informational-analytical system of “corporate” level “ecogis-kiev” is developed since 1996 to serve as the scientific basis for decision-making in the sphere of environmental management at the regional level. The system includes various data and covers all the purpose-aimed applications (including “Expertise”, “Monitoring”, “Control”, “Regulation”) as well as the subject areas (among them “Atmospheric air”, “Water resources”, “Solid waste”, “Biodiversity” etc.)
The system has been used as ŕ basis for ŕ number of projects that deal with land resource, and parks management, business and public health issues, different kinds of pollution of soil, surface and ground water, and atmosphere. And for today it is developing and has ŕ great potential for the use in environmental, business and health protection projects.

Research center of Geographic Information Systems
“Ecomedservice” in co-operation with “ECOMM Co.” (official distributor of ESRI company), and National University of “Kiev-mohyla Academy” (UKMA) created the Research center of Geographic Information Systems on the basis of the Department of Natural Sciences of UKMA. In 2001 ESRI has handed the ARCGIS software as the part of the University support program.
Internships
“Ecomedservice” provides internship opportunities for students in the fields of natural sciences, geography, cartography, medical geography and other relevant issues. Several scientific works and academic research papers have been done on the basis of “Ecomedservice”. Among them the research on the following topics:

The project on the analysis of food waste and other types of waste
In July 2002 the experts of the enterprise “Ecomedservice” in co-operation with the Danish company COWI took part in the project on the analysis of food waste and other types of waste. The waste for testing was gathered on the Kiev dump site #5.
COST (Co-operation for Scientific and Technical Research) Action 719
“The use of GIS in meteorology and climatology”
In 2001 “Ecomedservice” has become ŕ member of COST Action 719 as ŕ participant institution from non-cost country.
The main objective of the Action is to broaden and enhance the potential of GIS in the fields of climatology and meteorology by developing applications in those fields, with emphasis on the procedures and capabilities for integrating and adding value to data from various sources and on quality control and presentation of climate and other related data.
