February 2004 “ECOMEDSERVICE” has got the Registration Certificate # 037/2 that allows it to provide inventorization of polluted substances emissions into the atmospheric air given by State Administration of Ecology and Natural Resources in Rostov city. According to the enclosure of the Accreditation Certificate, the laboratory of “ECOMEDSERVICE” can provide direct measurements of 49 ingredients (ten more than the previous time).

International Seminar “Practical aspects of the risk assessment in Russian”
On December 17-18 2003 in Kharkiv there will be conducted an international seminar “Practical aspects of the risk assessment in Russian”. It’ll be provided by EPA ( Environmental Protection Agency of United States) and Counterpart International.
There will be present also representatives of this field from Russia (Medical Academia of Undergraduate education) and Russian (“Ecomedservice”, “Ecocenter” head of the environmental management administration of Kharkiv and Zaporizhya).
“Ecomedservice“ experts are currently involved in the Local Environmental Action Program (LEAP) project on development of the basic institutional potential of environmental protection.
The project developed in partnership between US EPA and Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources of Russian (MENR) and aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of National environmental funds use and educating the MENR participants about the progressive environmental policy strategies and methods and the possibilities of their introduction in Russian.

This promulgation is à result of co-working of the government, scientists and society (the chief director is Natalya Vasylivna Shymanska, the deputy of Kiev Rada).

On November 2003 Management Committee of COST 729 held the meeting in Volos, Greece devoted to its projects on using GIS for solving different problems.
COST 719 would like to continue in co-operation with ECOMEDSERVICE which successfully started in Toulouse and was followed later participation at poster Cost719, therefore our experts from “ECOMEDSERVICE” were invited to participate in this event and presented their paper “Determining the influence of air pollution Levels on the Bronchial Asthma Disease Rate with GIS”.

Regional summit “Opportunities of modern Gis/rs technologies to solve Black Sea region problems” was held on November 11-14, 2003 in Odessa.
“Ecomedservice” was among the organizators of this event . On the conference there were discussed such questions as using of modern informational technologies for effective environmental monitoring, assessment of dangerous situations and creation of regional management systems, using of Remote Sensing methods for operational evaluation of agro ecological recourses, effective providing with modern map materials.

3 - 12 november, 2003 Innsbruck, Austria
ESRI is the leading of geographical information systems world wide. In October ESRI held in Innsbruck (Austria) the 18th European ESRI User Conference and 10th German ESRI User Conference 2003. There were about 1000 participants from public administration, public utilities, telecommunication, engineering, transport, environment, and education on the ten conference days.
From 3rd October till 12th October experts of “ECOMEDSERVICE” participated in this conference. They made à stand report ”Creation of GIS for Cadastre of Natural Preserve Sites in Rostov city” and updated information about the latest achievements towards GIS and Remote Sensing.
16-18 october, 2003 Balaklava
Training “The preparation of the Ecological Management System inside auditors for BMMC
To develop their program in the Balaklava region LEAP invited “Ecomedsrevice” to lead à teaching training “Prepearation of inside auditors of Ecological Management System” for Lime-mining plant in Balaklava. During three days the representatives of local authorities, community, and workers of the plant listened to the lectures, assessed ecological aspects and environmental policy of their enterprise and made the first steps to conduct the system of ecological management according to the ISO 14000.

We are happy to announce You that Scientific and Industrial Enterprise “ECOMEDSERVICE” became à member of the Common Voluntary State Environmental Audit System (CVSEAS) of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Russian since the 12-th of August 2003. It allow us to use widely main issues of the standards of ÄÑÒÓ ISO 14010-97, 14011-97, 14012-97 and recommendations of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Russian. This document also confirms that we can conduct ecological audit activities in Russian.

Press conference was held, devoted to the first Ukrainian product labeled with the national sign “Environmentally clean”.
Non-mandatory Certification Body of enterprise “Ecomedservice” (ÎÄÑ-42) has finished the process of investigation of the Drinking water “Yurske Dzherelo” life cycle. It has led to the Certificat given to “Coca-cola Beverages” the producer of “Yurske Dzherelo”, granting the right to label its product with the sign “Environmentally Clean”.
This sign ensures that every step of the product’s life cycle – from its extraction from the Earth till the delivery to the final consumer – has à minimal impact on the product’s natural quality, and on the environment.
3-7 February 2003 Exhibition of Rostov goods manufacturers took place in the International Exhibition Center at Brovarskyy prospect,15.
21-24 January 2003 Exhibition of food producers of Rostov city took place in Exhibition hall of Chamber of Trade and Industry of Russian (vul.Velyka Zhytomyrska 33). Ogranized by the Trade Department at Rostov State Administration, the exhibition gathered over 60 leading companies in the sphere of food production in Rostov city. “Ecomedservice” presented its services and technologies of certification and laboratory testing as well as other services to the food companies.

November 2002 - “Coca-cola Beverages Russian Ltd.” Applied to the Non-mandatory Certification Body No 042 to conduct the product certification. The certification is held according to the program of ecolabelling and the following labeling of drinking water “Yurs’ke Dzherelo” with the sign “Environmentally Clean”.

September 25, 2002 - Enterprise "Ecomedservice" was licensed by the Ministry of Environment and natural Resources of Russian to conduct topographic and geodesic work. See more.
September 23, 2002 - Enterprise "Ecomedservice" was included into the Register of Organizations and Institutions witht the right to develop the documents that substantiate the amounts of waste for industries, enterprises, organizations and citizens - the parties of business. Registration Certificate No 77 from the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources is the basis for the inclusion of "Ecomedservice" into the mentioned Register.
July 2002 – the experts of the enterprise “Ecomedservice” in co-operation with the Danish company COWI took part in the project on the analysis of food waste and other types of waste. The waste for testing was gathered on the Kiev dump site #5.
